The Indisco Team

Peter Graumnitz
President and Owner

In 1966, Peter Graumnitz began his career in the cabinet industry in Massachusetts. He worked for Indisco in Rhode Island beginning in 1968 when the business was owned by the Boyd Corporation. In 1970, Peter moved to Maine to help launch Indisco of Maine, which dealt mainly with distributing cabinets to lumberyards and also selling kitchen appliances. Peter recalls that in the mid 1980s Indisco really became more kitchen design oriented. In 1991 Peter purchased and became owner and president of the company. With over 42 years of experience in the kitchen design industry, Peter has planned endless kitchens, faced numerous design challenges, and worked closely with many builders. Peter enjoys the creativity of kitchen design and the fact that every kitchen and every client is different. People view their kitchens differently, some are designed for show and some are designed for function. Peter believes working on a kitchen is like working on a puzzle; there are many people involved in the whole process; he loves seeing all the pieces come together. With new kitchen innovations always emerging, Peter is thrilled for the future of kitchen design. He is excited to see a new generation of young designers because he believes they will do things better and differently. Some of Pete's interests include gardening, fishing, and hunting, golfing and refurbishing items.

David Robinson
Design Consultant

David Robinson began his career at Indisco in 1978. David has seen Indisco develop into the thriving kitchen design business it is today. When Indisco first moved to their Scarborough location, stock cabinets and appliances were the main focus. Dave recalls how kitchen designing used to be sitting down with a customer and selecting cabinets from an inventory list, and then having them walk out with a kitchen the very same day. Today the process is much more design focused, customers come into our showroom, select from various door styles, and work with a designer to create a layout that best fits their needs. With over 30 years of experience, David has seen changing trends, layout challenges, and various product selections. He has maintained longtime working relationships with many builders, and remodeling contractors. David appreciates working with the Indisco crew and the support our small team offers. On the weekends, Dave enjoys gardening, fishing and is an amateur website builder.
